Gear Review: Ocoopa Rechargeable Hand Warmer

When I pack for traveling, I have one big criteria for any piece of gear - that it has to be multifunctional. When I’m thinking of space and weight I want to make sure that everything can be used more than once, in different climates, and for multiple reasons.

One piece of gear that definitely fits the bill is Ocoopa’s rechargeable hand warmer. It doubles as a power bank which makes it a perfect companion along my travels.

I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s syndrome when I was about 13 years old. As an outdoor adventure enthusiast, Raynaud’s, a painful syndrome causing hands and toes to lose circulation and turn white or blue in cold temperatures, has ruined many adventure days for me.

I wanted to make sure this didn’t happen while I was traveling. Sometimes all I need is something warm for a bit on my hands to keep me from losing all circulation. With its three temperature levels, I can decide how much or little heat I need to stay warm. Its design makes it comfortable in my hands and isn’t a burden to walk or hike with. After spending money and time gathering multiple types of hand warmers, from one time use to reusable by boiling, Ocoopa’s rechargeable hand warmer is by far the easiest to use and most convenient.

The other day I wanted to go for a hike in the morning. Usually, here in Colorado, I have to wait for it to warm up because once my hands lose circulation, it’s very challenging and painful to try to get them back. This time I took along my Ocoopa rechargeable hand warmer and as soon as I started to get cold, I clicked it on and was able to adjust the temperature as I went. It warms up right away without having to wait to expose it to the air or give it time to start up. Starting with a burst of warmth, I eventually went down to its lowest heat level when I just needed a little bit of maintenance.

Ocoopa rechargeable hand warmers come in a variety of cool colors, I chose orange because it’s my favorite. It’s so light that I didn’t even notice it in the pocket of my jacket and it also comes with a 365 day guarantee. It’s definitely one I’ll be adding to my travel packing list for a long time coming! 👣
