Find a Way Home

I’m looking

For a place of my own

So when I’m empty

I’ll have somewhere to go

A house by the river

Books by my chair

A dog and a garden out back

I’ll fill it with memories

Of the places I’ve been

While living out of a pack

Home

Find a way home

Home

Find a way home

I can see it

I could draw it blind

Our little cabin

To escape from this grind

We’re in the kitchen

Sitting down to tea

Sweetened by years of grit

And one day that room

Will have marks on the walls

Where we’ll measure the kids

Home

Find a way home

Home

Find a way home

We’ll gather up our lives

Till we’re restless again

We’ll have a place to come back to

And let the roots dig in

Home

Find a way home

Home

Find a way home

Home

Find a way home

Home

Find a way home
