Gear Essentials: Sun Hoody

We’ve both become quite attached to our favorite pieces of gear as we’ve been traveling- few as they may be. One piece of gear that is a must have for me on any endeavor is a Sun Hoody. I am particularly fond of my Prana Calder Sun Hoodie. I wear this everywhere. When the sun is cooking, it helps me feel a bit cooler while not having to slather on the sunscreen. It dries quick and makes for a nice light layer when it gets cooler in the evenings. The long sleeves are also helpful for warding off pesky mosquitoes. It’s no fun being sunburned- a lesson we seem to revisit every so often. A sun hoody tops my packing list for everything from backpacking trips to hanging at the beach. 🐾
